Baxter Pharmaceutical's Marketing had an immediate need to create a Web presence for their surgical sealing products. They asked us to design a coherent, easy-to-use site for busy doctors based on source material in many formats including Quark files, printed brochures, medical journals, text files, slides and videos. The finished site also had to pass Baxter's Medical and Legal review.
In order to meet the tight deadline, 84thomas used OCR scanning technology to generate HTML documents from the printed materials and generated PDF files from Quark documents for all Prescribing Information documents. The entire site (over 800 pages) was designed, coded, and proofed in time for the target date of a medical conference, where it got high marks from a test audience of surgeons.
